Student Community & Enrichment

Creating a strong online community of students worldwide from primary school through to sixth form to enable every child to have access to social opportunities, interactive extracurricular activities, and leadership positions.

Cambridge Online School & College International creates a student community that puts students first. Over the past year, we have expanded our selection of extracurricular clubs, created more opportunities for socialisation and collaboration outside of lessons, and listened to student ideas for clubs and new additions to our online learning hub. Our student council and school leadership team have also worked hard to integrate new ideas into our learning approach, including themed contests, new subjects, and new ways to further enhance our students' learning experiences.

The student community is so incredibly important for students' education, as it helps build key communication skills, expand skills and qualities, and connect with peers outside of lessons. Having social opportunities at an online school also promotes well-being and focuses strongly on creating a fun, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment for every child.

Additional Opportunities

Helping children grow and build confidence

In addition to our extracurricular clubs and enrichment activities, we also provide our students with leadership opportunities through our primary school and secondary school student councils.

Each academic year, students have the opportunity to apply for a place on the student council, which then puts them into the voting process where students from their year group can vote for whom they would like as a representative. This provides a wonderful leadership opportunity for students to partake in, making a great addition to their application for future education or career opportunities.

The student council has biweekly/monthly discussions regarding suggestions placed by other students, ideas for bettering the school community, and any additions that would make a difference to our students. This creates a fantastic collaboration between our student council members and our school teaching team, so we can create the best schooling environment for our pupils. Some of our recently introduced student ideas were our new anime and manga club, as well as the addition of our new graphic communications iGCSE.

Student Contests, Assemblies, and Newsletters

As well as our leadership and extracurricular opportunities, our online school also regularly hosts contests for our students to participate in. Some of our previous contests have included art competitions and Pi memory contests. We have also hosted fun events for our students to join in with, including fancy-dress days, World Cup celebrations, and careers guidance weeks.

Frequent assemblies are also held regarding upcoming events, announcements, and updates about any new school features. These are also included in our newsletters to help keep parents and students up to date with the latest school news. Assemblies also provide a wonderful opportunity to bring our students together with their peers whom they may not otherwise communicate with due to different timetabling.
